Verdict:


Liked the film. Original score, cool. Cinematography, tak berapa kacip (pinjam word pipiyapong) sangat. Tak cinematic enough, tak tight enough. Kalau nak jadi CSI, jadi CSI all the way, kalau nak jadi American detective film noir, do it to perfection (as far as visual style is concern).

Cast. Good, Adlin tak perlu dipertikaikan la dia punya talent. The surprise package for me is Hans Isaac. he did well as Los. Sthepen Rahman Hughes, a little bit dissapointing, kenapa la nak buat slang american tu, not convincing enough. Kenapa tak biar ja dia with his cockney slang. Then again maybe my expectation is a little bit high because he was in PGL the Musical. Khir Rahman pun bagus, boleh jadi lebih memorable kalau character dia developed lagi.

Character, emm..tak berapa 'bulat', maybe because Afdlin memang focus pada 'absurdity' , so kira macam all the characters exist in their own world.

Overall, it is a good attempt to be different, it's just that I failed to see the film beyond the surface, I could not read the 'statement', 'philosophy', the layers apart from the obvious. maybe it's just me.
